Lone Star Round Up April 18-22, Tyler, TX
We
were blessed with beautiful weather last week at the Lone Star Round Up
in Tyler, TX.
All the spring rain had made the Texas Rose Horse Park green and
beautiful. On Friday, the Texas Pre Green
Super Stake was won by Susan Schwartz’s Salomon piloted by Stacie Goodson.
(pictured below).
Second place went to Will Roberts on Marvel and third went to Katja
Kallenberger on Rancho De Las Arboles’s
Thanks For The Gold.
The
USHJA National Derby was held Friday afternoon in main hunter ring.
Twenty six entries showed over the two round event. MTM Off the Cuff and
Therese Peck galloped
away with the blue. Second went to Fancy Free ridden by Mary Riggs and
owned by BTD Investments.
The yellow ribbon went to Dolce and Sue Takata.
Sunday’s featured event was the start of the $25,000 Child/Adult
Jumper Challenge with two exciting classics.
The Low Child/Adult Classic winner was Rocky and Nicole Peterson,
(pictured below on the left), with a double clean
round in 28.164. Taking home the red was Caratango Z and Alexandra Ozymy.
The High Child/Adult Classic winner
was Penny Lane and Hannah Donald, (pictured below on the right). Hanna
was double clean in a time of 30.003.
Second place in the High’s went to Cuba Libre and Taylor Archer.
